What can i say I'm a hero !?
Let me move on now or I'll start praising myself again like what i usually do .
Firstly i shall congratulate all of you for the job well done .
Performance was great . The seniors loved it . Haha :D
Great job guys ... For that give youself a kiss , hug , treat ... Whatever you like :D
For all your efforts and time in doing all this for the seniors . I thank you (:

NOW MOVING ON ....

Well it was a particularly the night before ROD . (I thought i would dream about ROD)
It was the year 2010 . SYF competition ! The band doing everything and giving their very best ... Playing and marching .
Sharp turns , good music .......
The effort was there and what i saw was passion !
Passion is something that makes the person do something and giving the best that he/she can give .
Then WE took the award ! The award was not clear .... At that point of time i have already woke up .
But it was very clear to me ... The award was definitely a good one . That pushed me in doing this post telling all of you band members !
Give up the thought that we are SPRINGFIELDERS and we are the worst ! Just let it go .
NOTHING IS IMPOSSIBLE its all in the mind ...
From the start we have that mindset , we will never move forward regardless of what we are going to do .
From months of getting to know the and inside and outside ...
I have learnt , we are a small and GROWING band but IF we keep telling ourselves that better bands will win us ... We will never improve .
We have to love and give especially leaders ! Never give up on your section no matter what(If i found out ... I KILL you) . Like i always say ... We are ONE BIG family .
Whatever feud you have outside of band ... It will stay outside of band (I know who are you and i continues , I'll do something about it !).
In band we should always help one another in times of need and give all your effort whatever you do .
There is no such things don't friend each other in band . How old already !
If you are tired or stress ... Just let it out ! CRY or SHOUT ??? No one will laugh at you .
If you need help or have problems ... Just tell your SL , majors or conductors . Whatever it is just let it out .
You are never alone in band ....
Just remember we are one big family !
(You can curse and swear at me for always harping on this sentence ... Go ahead because this is a FACT)
Well lets say if one day ... A senior scolds you .
You skip band and for what ??? What benefits you ???
Section leaders in my point of view ... Are like parents !:D
Help the younger ones out and teaching them .
It does make a point right .
Well i gave my sectional leader problems and one day i finally made her cry . What has that benefit me . Well i only can say REGRETS . Well today i myself is the sectional leader and i finally know how difficult it can be ...
I only can say SORRY but that REGRET will always be in me .
As parent for that section . Have you given up on your section . Sit down and think about it !
Have your parents ever given up on you ???
Have you already given up ???
Well i can say i didnt !
How about you ???
If you have difficulty teaching ... Ask for some help from anyone . Like i always say one FAMILY !
If lets say if the sectional leader has give up ... Then the section will fall . EVERY instrument is important !
Well then ... If any member lets say one that do not have any post in the band .
One who say ..."Oh i don't have a post in the band , Why should i care !?"
That you are wrong .
Everyone is IMPORTANT . Like a brass instrument without any player ... Can it produce any sound ??? same point ...
Even the leaders needs the members cooperation to have things moving or the band will never complete anything .
The burning flame of passion for the band will always be inside even when you graduate .
-LEADER THIS IS MESSAGE I NEED TO TELL YOU . DON'T WORRY ABOUT PEOPLE HATING YOU . WHEN NECESSARY ... SCOLD WHEN NEEDED . YOU HAVE TO HAVE THAT MENTAL PREPARATION THAT YOU JUNIORS WILL HATE YOU BUT ONLY BY DOING THIS ... THEY WILL LEARN ! I KNOW IT DIFFICULT BUT IF NEEDED OF HELP JUST TELL YOUR MAJORS .IF NOT YOU ARE CALLED LEADERS FOR ??? yes the conductors have told us to keep minimum scolding but if necessary then scold .
Juniors that got scolded and eventually hating your SL or major . Well we cannot help you if you hate us but what if one day you became a SL and you juniors hate you . Would you like it ??? Think of it . What goes around comes around .
Then i heard of some complaints recently about the graduating seniors .... Don't want to mention names .
"Walao they come back always scold , scold , scold"
"They always come back for what"
........
Why did the seniors come back .
Why do the seniors always scold .
Well i got the answer ... Its simple and you just need a little common sense .
They are GREAT seniors .... They care and that's why they scold you( like your parents) and you say you hate them . Do you hate your parents when they scold you ???
and they want the best you can give because they see potenial in all of us .
and they come back voluntarily and they dont get paid . They want to help and bring the band up . Why do you think they would come for band just to scold you . They are our pillar of strength and
SENIORS ... DO COME BACK we NEED you :D
In all this i will know you guys will CHANGE but till ???
I can i have the promise from all of you to change and work hard for the band .
Passion for music , marching and especially the band ... Keep moving forward :D
